The acquisition of Performance nearly doubled the size of 4WD's business and leveraged both companies' direct marketing and distribution capabilities. Four Wheel Drive Hardware, L.L.C. was sold to Transamerican Auto Parts on February 7, 2006 . |

SC participated in a "going private" transaction for Wilmar
Industries, Inc. led by Parthenon Capital. In September 2000,
SC made an additional investment in support of Wilmar's acquisition
of Barnett, Inc. Together, these companies combined to form
a leading direct marketer and distributor of maintenance, repair
and operations (MRO) products. These products include plumbing,
electrical, hardware, security hardware, HVAC and other related
items. In addition to the Wilmar and Barnett brands, the portfolio
also includes Sexauer, Trayco, Hardware Express, Maintenance
USA, U.S. Lock and Leran. While the individual brand names are
still utilized in the marketplace, the corporate entity was
re-named Interline Brands to symbolize the multiple brands,
serving multiple markets that are united on a common fulfillment
platform. Interline completed an IPO in December 2004 and SC sold its shares during the period December 2004 – November 2005.
