SVOBODA CAPITAL PARTNERS EXITS ITS INVESTMENT IN SWC TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS

Chicago, IL – July 10, 2018 – Svoboda Capital Partners LLC (“SC”) is pleased to announce that it has exited its investment in SWC Technology Partners LLC (“SWC” or the “Company”), which has been acquired by BDO USA, LLP (“BDO”). SC originally invested in SWC in August 2014 through its third fund. Bob Knott, President of SWC, along with additional SWC management – Adam Ferguson, Aaron Bianchetta, Ben Brock, Bob Compere, Susie Cummings, Michael Lee, Ric Opal and Aaron Selle – will be joining BDO as new principals.

Headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois, SWC is an award-winning provider of IT solutions, tailored to help mid-market organizations use technology to uncover new opportunities and realize increased value. The Company is a regional market leader in the Midwest serving both B2B and B2C clients. For more than 30 years, SWC has provided clients with technology solutions that optimize productivity, strengthen customer relationships, enhance data sharing, and drive profitability. Leveraging its team of over 200 employees, SWC specializes in managed services, data analytics, cloud computing, and custom application development. These technology solutions encompass infrastructure solutions such as unified communications, enterprise networking, directory services, and network security; and software solutions including Microsoft Office 365, business intelligence, mobile, and CRM development.

“Our partnership with SC has enhanced the long-term growth and success of SWC and has been an enjoyable experience along the way,” Knott, said. “By joining BDO, a leading national brand with expansive global resources, we will have a wider platform and more delivery channels to continue building upon our success.”

“On behalf of SC, it has been a pleasure to work with the team at SWC. Under management’s leadership, the team continues to strengthen its professional services domain expertise, striving to provide the highest quality service offering to its mid-market clients,” said Jeffrey Piper, Managing Director at Svoboda Capital Partners. “We are proud of our association with the Company and remain steadfastly interested in SWC’s continued success as part of BDO.”

SWC will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of BDO USA, with all current personnel operating from their existing office in Oak Brook, Illinois, and satellite office in Indianapolis, Indiana.
