Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. Promotes Alex R. Miller to Managing Director
CHICAGO,
January 1, 2005 - Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. is pleased to announce that Alex R. Miller
has been promoted to the position of Managing Director. Alex joined the firm as a senior
associate in May 2000 and was promoted to principal in December 2002. He is responsible for
leading the firm’s investment activity in consumer products and services companies, and
serves as a board member for Coffee Bean International, Inc.,
Cigars International, Inc. and Cortz, Inc.

Prior to joining Svoboda, Collins L.L.C. Alex was a consultant for
three years at the Boston Consulting Group in Chicago, IL and Zurich, Switzerland.
At BCG, he led and contributed to project teams focused on developing and implementing growth
and profit improvement strategies for consumer packaged goods, beverage and financial services companies.
Alex received his BBA in Accountancy and BA in Medieval History from the University of Notre Dame in
1992 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1997.
