ANDREW B. ALBERT JOINS SVOBODA, COLLINS L.L.C.
CHICAGO, February 14, 2007 – Svoboda, Collins LLC ("SC") announced today that Andrew B. Albert, former CEO of Nashua Corporation is joining SC as a Managing Director and Operating Partner. Albert remains Chairman of Nashua but stepped down from the CEO role in May 2006. "We are thrilled to have Andy join SC," commented John Svoboda. "His many years of operating experience with both private and public companies, combined with his knowledge and contacts in the paper and office products industries from both a manufacturing and distribution perspective will add a new dimension to our professional staff and allow us to broaden our industry focus," added Svoboda. "Furthermore, Andy's experience as a commercial banker prior to his 30 years of operating experience adds increased experience to our team."
Albert will focus on improving performance where needed in SC's portfolio companies, as well as using his network and experience in generating deal flow in office products and paper-related businesses. He has served on SC's Advisory Board since the firm was founded in 1998, but will transition from Advisor to Managing Director. "I am excited to be joining SC and look forward to helping them continue to their success in the lower middle market," offered Albert.
