GPA ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION OF TEC PAPERS USA
CHICAGO, June 1, 2010 – GPA, a portfolio company of Svoboda Capital Partners, LLC (“SC”), is pleased to announce the acquisition of TEC Papers USA (“TEC”). Specific terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
TEC was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Wausau Coated Products (“WCP”). Headquartered in Wausau, Wisconsin, WCP is a leading manufacturer of pressure sensitive products, label materials, and custom coating technologies serving a wide variety of markets.
Based in Atlanta, Georgia, TEC provides offset, laser and digital pressure sensitive paper and film products. The acquisition will establish a footprint in the Southeastern United States for GPA and broaden GPA’s presence in the region. Post-transaction, TEC will continue to operate from its Atlanta location and has entered into a mutually beneficial supply agreement with WCP.
